The Game System
The Arena of Fate
Solborn: Arena of Fate is a skill-based tactical card battler built around clarity, constraint, and consequence.
Players acquire cards, construct tightly limited decks, and enter competitive arenas where every match is resolved through deterministic logic. There are no random critical hits, no hidden modifiers, and no opaque systems deciding outcomes after you commit to a move.
The Flow is Simple

Elements & Tactics
Card Types & Elemental Advantage
Every card in Solborn belongs to one of five elemental types. These types interact through a fixed advantage cycle, creating predictable and learnable matchups.
Element Types
Flame
Terra
Volt
Aqua
Shade
Advantage Chart
| ATK ↓ | DEF → | Flame | Aqua | Terra | Volt | Shade |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Flame | 1.0x | 0.5x | 2.0x | 1.5x | 1.25x |
| Aqua | 2.0x | 1.0x | 1.5x | 0.5x | 1.25x |
| Terra | 0.5x | 1.5x | 1.0x | 2.0x | 1.25x |
| Volt | 1.5x | 2.0x | 0.5x | 1.0x | 1.25x |
| Shade | 1.25x | 1.25x | 1.25x | 1.25x | 1.0x |
Move Selection (The Tactical Layer)
Each round, both players secretly choose one of three moves. This creates a prediction layer similar to a refined rock-paper-scissors system.

Guard
Defeats Slash
Winning the move interaction grants a known modifier to combat resolution. Losing the interaction applies a corresponding penalty.
Deck Building
Battle Points (BP), Stats & Rarity
Core Card Stats
- PowerDetermines the raw damage of your strikes.
- EnduranceDefines survival capacity. HP = Endurance * 3 (+10% for mono-element decks).
Rarity & Power Multipliers
Rarity determines a card's base Battle Points (BP) ceiling, ensuring Mythics possess naturally higher base stats than Commons. Additionally, rarity applies a deterministic multiplier to a card's Power during combat resolution.
| Rarity | Power Multiplier | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 1.0x | Base Power |
| Rare | 1.1x | +10% Power |
| Epic | 1.25x | +25% Power |
| Mythic | 1.5x | +50% Power |
Key Rules
- Multipliers apply only to Power during combat
- Endurance defines the starting HP of your card
- Mono-Element Buff: Building a deck with 5 cards of the exact same element grants a 10% bonus to Endurance (Max HP) for all cards
- Base stats are used for deck BP limits
- Deterministic outcomes: Strategy = Impact, not luck
Deck Construction Rules
Every player builds a deck under strict, enforced constraints:
These limits prevent stat stacking and force meaningful trade-offs. Strong decks are crafted, not brute-forced.

Competitive Modes & Wager Lobbies
Solborn uses SOL-based entry for competitive modes to reduce friction and improve accessibility.
Players select a lobby with a preset SOL stake. Behind the scenes, SOL is converted into the game's competitive token for escrow and settlement — but players never need to manage tokens manually. A part of each wager converted to native tokens is bought back to maintain token health.
Mastery & Progression
Your journey through the arena is rewarded at every milestone. Note that each profile has a capacity of 100 cards on-chain.
Earn XP (Wager Only)
Win competitive matches to earn 100 XP. XP is earned only while playing Wager Lobbies. Losses grant 0 XP but never reduce your current progress.
Unlock Mastery
Every 300 XP unlocks a new Mastery Level. Ascend through the ranks from Void Initiate to Arcane Champion and beyond.
Recurring Rewards
Every 10 levels of progression, you unlock a Free Mastery Pack. Simply claim your runes from the Sanctum profile.
